About Permian Mobile Welding

A Permian Basin welding outfit built the way the oilfield actually works: fully mobile, safety-first, and answering the phone around the clock.

Built for the way the Permian works

Permian Mobile Welding is a mobile welding outfit born in the Permian Basin. We started from a simple observation: when a weld breaks on a rig site, a lease road, or a ranch miles from town, hauling equipment to a shop isn't an option. Downtime costs real money, and every hour matters. So we built the business the other way around — the shop comes to you.

Our rig trucks carry the welder, generator, torches, and steel you need, so we can strike an arc wherever the work sits: pad sites, compressor stations, equipment yards, pipeline right-of-ways, ranch gates, and commercial facilities across Midland, Odessa, and the surrounding Basin.

We're fully insured, and our welders are experienced hands who understand that out here, a weld isn't decoration — it's structural, it's pressure-containing, or it's holding up a piece of equipment that someone's livelihood depends on.

Safety isn't a slogan here

Welding on live facilities, near production equipment, and around hydrocarbons demands more than a steady hand. Safety is built into how every job runs:

  • Hot work permits and coordination with site personnel before any arc is struck
  • Fire watch and extinguishers on every job, every time
  • PPE worn correctly — welding hoods, FR clothing, gloves, and eye protection
  • Jobs shut down immediately if conditions become unsafe, no arguments

Our welders work to the standards the job calls for — AWS D1.1 for structural work and API 1104 for pipeline work — because on oilfield and pipeline jobs, "good enough" isn't.

How it works

Getting a welder to your location is straightforward. There are no layers of dispatch, no ticket queues, no callbacks three days later.

1. Call

Tell us what broke, where it sits, and how urgent it is. The phone is answered 24/7 — you'll talk to someone who understands the work, not a call center.

2. On-site assessment

A welder comes to your location, looks at the job in person, and scopes the repair — material, access, safety considerations, and what it'll take to do it right.

3. Upfront quote

You get a clear price before any work starts. No surprises mid-job: if conditions change, the price gets discussed and approved before we continue.

4. Weld

We do the work on the spot, clean up the site, and walk you through what was done. You don't pay until the job is finished to your satisfaction.

What to expect on a job

When our truck pulls up, here's what happens. The welder introduces themselves and does a walkaround of the job with you — what needs welding, what it's made of, and how you'll be using it afterward. They'll confirm the plan and the price you were quoted, set up the machine and any shielding or screening needed, and get to work.

Most routine repairs are finished the same visit. Bigger jobs — structural fabrication, equipment rebuilds, pipeline tie-ins — get a clear timeline before we start, and we stick to it. When the welding is done, we clean the area, inspect the work with you, and make sure you're satisfied before we leave.

The rig carries its own generator and everything needed to weld self-sufficiently — all we need from you is site access, plus your site safety requirements on oilfield locations.
